Our August demonstrator was Steven Gordon who demonstrated the Principles of Woodturning.

   

In this demonstration he looked at the basic principles of woodturning, using most of the tools and focusing on the key techniques.

   

He gave information to both beginners and experienced turners to apply to turning at home, he also displayed some of his own turnings.

Our final competition of the year will take place in October when the item required from our novice turners is a bowl and the more experienced turners can enter an item of their choice.
