June saw the first of our ‘Hands On’ evenings of 2024.
Unfortunately our pole lathe demonstrator had to cancel at the last minute due to twisting his ankle in the garden, but we will hopefully see him in September.
We did however have four different demonstrations and talks, they were;
Tim Wright demonstrated a barley twist.
.
Colin Snow explained to members how they could help make braille erasers for young people with sight impediments.
.
Phil Davis showed members a lathe steady kit which he had made, some of which were available to purchase.
Brian Ford discussed various forms of finishing you turned item.
.
We also had a display table with examples of members work.
.
See you all at the July meeting when we have Jason Breech demonstrating for us.
