Saturday June 10th, the day of our first show of 2023 – the Hellens Garden Festival at Hellens Manor, Much Marcle.

It was a beautiful sunny day and we soon set about putting up our gazebo – thanks to all those who came along to help.

 

 

Once the gazebo was up we displayed our turnings and soon started to attract the interest of the visitors.

 

Our small lathe was set up to one side of the gazebo where turning was demonstrated.

   

The demonstrations and the items on display also attracted the attention of people who were interested in finding out more about the Club, some of whom we may see at our next meeting.

It was unfortunate that a heavy shower on the Sunday meant  the gazebo had to be unpacked and washed down once back home and our thanks go to Jan and David Bowen for getting it ready for our next show.

Everyone agreed the show had been a great success and we look forward to the next one which is also at Much Marcle, the Steam Rally on July 22nd & 23rd.
